Tankerton under 15's are through to the Mick Kelley Memorial Cup Final after beating Canterbury youth 5-1 in December. Bringing them into the new year with the final match against Folkestone Invicta at the impressive Charles Ground Stadium in Deal on Tuesday 19th April with kick-off at 1930.
The under 15's team started their cup run back in September 2015 with an action packed game that saw them trounce the Red Arrows 6-1. This, followed by a close game against Tyler Hill where Tankerton battled to take the tie 3-2 setting up a quarter final game against Canterbury City. The quarter final match was dominated by Tankerton with them putting four past Canterbury City to win the game 4-0.
Next came the semi-final against the top three placed Canterbury Youth which they were yet to meet in the league but Tankerton went through with an emphatic 5-1 victory. The last time Tankerton met Folkestone in the league, they walked away with a 3-0 victory which will hopefully give them an edge in this much anticipated final.
Good luck to the boys and see you there!!!
