DATE ADDED: 14 November 2014 Tankerton FC received over 1000 votes in the Lloyds Community Funds votes which was a fantastic amount. We were just 8 votes short of 2nd place and only 20 short of winning! However the award of £1000 is a great result for us.Thank you to all those that voted for us.Background:Tankerton FC were delighted to be short listed for the next stage of the Lloyds Bank Community Fund 2014 which opened to the public vote between 2 September to 10 October in participating branches, online and by SMS, sothere were several ways to pledge your support to the biggest community youth football club in the East Kent district.Over 4,500 applications were received and we are amongst 350 communities across England, Wales, Ireland, the Isle of Man and the Channel Islands to reach this stage; a fantastic achievement but we need your votes!
The community group with the most votes received from £500 to £3000 in funding which is significant for any club, but we needed just a few more votes to be the overall winner. |
Tankerton FC is a progressive club with an excellent reputation having been Kent FA Standard Charter Development Club of the Year for two years running before being awarded Community Club Status this year.
The club is a Charitable Incorporated Organisation run by a board of trustees and a strong committee.
