Come and join the team...
The club are recruiting new volunteers, so why not get involved and do something rewarding within your local community.
Executive Committee
Following a review of the make-up of the clubs Executive Committee, the Trustees and the Committee itself have agreed to create two further roles to join the committee to allow greater representation in the day to day running of the club by parents.
We are therefore looking for nominations for the role of parent / player representatives to fill these two roles. Hopefully the nominations will come from the many teams we have across the age groups and bring a more diverse membership to the executive body. The roles will involve attending the monthly Executive Committee meetings.

Youth Council Leader
Additionally after many years’ service to the club as a player, referee, youth council leader and trustee Toby Elgar is stepping down from his role as Youth Council Leader at the end of the season to allow him to concentrate on his University studies. He will still be actively involved with Tankerton FC in the future in his capacity as a trustee and coach. The Executive would like to wish Toby well with his studies and will miss his voice on the Executive. He has achieved great things with the Youth Council and has been a great spokesman for the player’s views.
As a result we would like to invite nominations for a new Youth Council Leader. This is a vital role within the club and has a place on the Executive as well as leading the council. We are seeking a young person with experience of Youth Council work to take over from Toby and continue to develop our award winning Youth Council.

Trustee
The club also currently has two vacancies on the board of trustees for two parents. We are therefore looking for volunteers to fill these two roles. Hopefully the volunteers will bring an even greater diverse membership to the trustee body. The role involves attending quarterly meetings of the trustees. This body oversees the day to day work undertaken by the clubs’ Executive Committee. A working knowledge or direct involvement in the club is not a pre requirement, indeed the role can be likened to that of a school governor as a critical friend to the football club.
