TFC Presentation & Fun Day 2017
The sun shone on Seaview when the Club held its annual Presentation & Fun Day on Saturday 10th June, the one occasion during the year when the entire Club comes together to celebrate the season that has just ended.
Each team presented squad and individual trophies to team members and teams staged fun matches where they took on their parents and other family members.
Volunteers ran a barbeque and drinks stand and there were other attractions such as the Coconut Shy, Bouncy Castle, Bubble Football and the Speed Gun Challenge. All money raised goes towards the Club’s funds.
The U11s staged their annual mini-tournament in memory of team member Bailey Yanik; Bailey’s father, Murad, was present to award the trophy to the winning team.
Tim Elgar introduced the new Club Chairman, Andy Davidson, and together they presented three special awards:
U11s manager Paul Kingston was chosen by his peers to win the Managers’ Manager of the Season trophy;
U12s coach, Freddie Wells and U13s girls coach, Jasmin Connolly were jointly awarded the Adam Bowey shield to mark all the hard work they have done as volunteers.
A special award was made to Phil Barton, the Club’s Child Welfare Officer in recognition of all the work he has put in for the Club over many years.
The day ended with TFC Seniors taking on and losing 0-1 to the TFC Veterans side.
