Tankerton FC sadly lost one of its younger players on Monday 8 February 2016; Bailey Yanik played in the u10s age group, described by his managers as the ‘Tony Adams’ of the team.
He was a loud, fun-loving and solid player. Never afraid to step into various positions to support the team, often alternating between centre back and goalie, a versatile player who never complained. Bailey always had a smile on his face and will be remembered for his taste in funny hats; often accessorising his TFC No. 10 shirt with a bobble hat or deerstalker.
Baileys football passion was Arsenal FC and Tankerton; he played with finesse and passion to the whistle every time. He will be sorely missed by all his team mates.
Our condolences and prayers go out to Murad, Caroline and Bailey’s brother and sister at this tragic time; Murad and Caroline have been overwhelmed by the support given to them from the football community; reaching from the Kent County league, KCFA, and all clubs within the Faversham & District, East Kent, Kent Girls & Ladies, Canterbury & District and Mens leagues have supported us in holding a minutes silence / applause in celebration of Bailey’s life at last weekends games.
