What is like coaching at Tankerton FC |
Coaching at Tankerton FC is one of the most enjoyable things I am able to do. It is a great place to coach due to having players who take the game seriously but are also able to have fun and enjoy themselves at the same time. There are a lot of talented players at the club which led to the girls’ team heading to the Kent FA Cup Final; it’s great to see a local team get that far. Tankerton is also very inclusive and diverse which is great to see and shows that Tankerton FC is still pushing the game in the right direction. |
What have you learnt from coaching at Tankerton? |
I have learnt so much from coaching at Tankerton FC. Firstly, it has given me so much experience with different age groups and how to change my style of coaching to each age group to make sure they are progressing not just as individuals but as a whole team. I have also learnt to take on more responsibilities from coaching which has increased my confidence a huge amount. |
What is it like being mentored by Level 2 and UEFA B coaches at Tankerton FC? |
Being mentored from coaches at this level is a great opportunity. I am always learning something new which helps me a great deal for my coaching as well as my university degree. The best thing is that I am able to implement my own style of coaching as well, instead of standing in the background. Each of the coaches is great at working in a team and is able to shares ideas with everyone to make sure the team is improving as much as possible, which is great to see. |
A number of players have also undertaken activities related to BTEC, GCSE and A level PE and Sports courses, and many have included these experiences on their CV.
