KENT FA AND DEMELZA HOSPICE CARE FOR CHILDREN
LAUNCH A FOOTBALL FAMILY CAMPAIGN!
We are delighted to announce our partnership with Demelza Hospice Care for Children. As a charity they are reliant on the local community. We are calling on the Kent Football Family to come together as a team to make a lasting difference to Demelza.
The goal is to update the soft play room at Demelza in Kent. This valuable facility gives children a safe and fun space for family time, using sensory play. This room was opened 10 years ago and some of the equipment is broken and dated. With your support through fundraising they want to bring the room up to date and add exciting new equipment such as the magic carpet (as pictured above). This allows children of all abilities to join in lots of fun games including football. Your support will also fund a team of nurses to provide the vital care to babies, children and young people with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions.
As a thank you for joining our football family your team will be a part of the legacy. Every team that supports this campaign will have a ball banner put on the wall in the soft play room. Teams raising up to £100 get a small ball, teams raising between £100 and £250 get a medium ball and teams raising over £250 get a large ball. Each ball will proudly display your team name, leaving a lasting legacy of your support.
We also have a special prize for the youth team and adult team who raise the most money. We will announce what (or who!) the prize is later in the year. BUT to be in with a chance of winning this we need you to go to www.justgiving.com/company/DemelzaFootballFamily and register your team, then simply record all of your fundraising there. Once registered you will be able to check in weekly to see where your team stands in the league table and see just how close you are to winning a very special money can not buy prize!
Demelza have produced some really useful fundraising packs, one for youth teams and one for adult teams so to get the ball rolling click here to download your packs.
Together we are stronger, so let us show how the #FootballFamily can come together as one team to leave a lasting legacy for children and families with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions across Kent.
Thank you,
Paul Dolan
